GAMES (CONTINUED) The 10-12 division will play with 7 field players and a goalkeeper and may play with regulation goals (8x24). This age group will be taught he rules of the game and will have a working knowledge of positions.
Travel treams under 10 and lower play with a goalkeeper and 7 field players. The size of the field will be a minumum olf 40 by 70 yards.Goals are 7 ft. by 21 ft. Teams Under 11 and up play with 10 field players and a goalie on a field minimum of 50 yards by 100 yards. Goals are regulation of 8ft. x 24 ft. TRAVEL PROGRAM INFORMATION:
Tryouts for the travel teams are usually are in mid-spring but some opening occur in the fall. To tryout for the travel program you must be ready to make a bigger committment than at the intramural level. If you think your child is ready for the travel program call the club number and ask for the club director. Travel teams may play in both the spring and fall and may enter some summer tournaments. The fall season starts the week after Labor Day and can last until December.
Soccer can be a great experience that can leave some great lasting impressions. It can help young players experience the rest of the world. We have taken tems around the country and overseas an will never forget the experience. Rember though travel soccer is not for evreyone and many players like to stay in the intramural program and that is fine. REFEREES NEEDED: Parents and teens; there is a need for referees folr the intramural program. If you would like to referee please call the club. Teens need to be at least 14 years old. Fee is $15 per game.

Any adult who who like to coach will need to attend one of the coaching clinics that is offered by either the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association or the National Soccer Coaches Association. The cost of the courses vary but Newtown Soccer Association will reimburse the tuition fee after completion.
